Last year presented us with the opportunity to join forces with the locals in Sanikiluaq and embark on a project that would significantly enhance their harbor. With enthusiasm and dedication, we set out to construct a marina tailored to their needs.
Our first step was to cut and drill all the lumber, cut and weld hardware and package it all for transport. Once it all arrived safely by boat across the sea, we flew up to meet the crew.
Once there, we engaged in extensive training sessions with the community members, ensuring that everyone felt empowered and capable of contributing to the project. These sessions not only imparted technical skills but also fostered a strong sense of camaraderie and shared purpose among us.
Working hand in hand, we embarked on the assembly process, each member of the community lending their expertise and effort. From securing the docks in place to installing essential components, every task was approached collaboratively, embodying the spirit of cooperation and unity. cooperation and unity.
